Project works involved:
· Build of 5 new CEVs; hauling lead-in cables, installation of FTPs and termination of cables.
· OTDR, insertion loss testing and reporting of 400km link.
· Investigate and resolve fibre issues
· Network auditing and reporting

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involved the installation of a new optical fibre network for CCTV around the Port Botany shipping facility. Port Botany in Sydney’s south is one of Australia’s largest container ports.
Project works involved:
· Install FOBOTs and termination of cables in road side cabinets and central comms room.
· OTDR and reporting.
· Integration of new CCTV network into existing network and TfNSW infrastructure.
Status: Completed Duration: Oct 2021 to May 2022
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involved replacement of a damaged fibre optic cable located on the remote Silver City Highway between Wentworth and Broken Hill. The cable forms part of critical link for far west NSW.
Project works involved:
· Cutover splicing at 2 locations.
· OTDR, insertion loss testing and reporting.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involved the relocation of sections of fibre optic cable impacted by an ARTC inland Rail upgrade project. The ARTC project was broken into 2 stages due to its scale and complexity.

Stage 1
· Pre-build and testing of multiple sections of new fibre path.
· Cutover splicing at 4 locations.
· OTDR, insertion loss testing and reporting.
Stage 2
· Onsite supervision during cable protections work.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
M4 Smart Motorway Project is an NSW Govt infrastructure project to introduce ITS to the existing 35km section of motorway. Velocom was engaged for Stage 1 of the project and went on to also complete Stage 2 and 3.

· Integration of new M4SM network into existing M7 network.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involved relocating a carrier’s POP site to another location.
Project works involved:
· Pre build of new POP site; haul 2 new 144F lead-in cables and terminate
· Civils connecting pits
· New joint build and haul 2 new cables to connect with existing network
· 2 nights of cutover at 3 locations
· Cable cut and pullback which involved organising a power outage to deenergise pits
· OTDR Testing
· Decom old site

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
M4 East tunnel comes under stage 1 of the NSW Govt WestConnex project. Velocom was involved in the splicing and testing of the tunnels ITS.

· OTDR and insertion loss testing of 6000 fibres and reporting
· Investigate and resolve all fibre issues

This project involved relocating a carrier’s cables on Northbourne Ave to make way for the Canberra Light Rail development.
Project works involved:
· 5 nights of cutovers at 12 locations
· Multiple cables cut and pullback
· Pre and post cutover splicing works

M4 Widening comes under stage 1 of the NSW Govt WestConnex project. Velocom was engaged towards the end of the project to help close out delivery of the ITS.
